Whilst in the middle of a very enjoyable 2-on-1 barista course with Mark and Carol, I decided to see if we could make a hot chocolate with the Limini Chocolate Drops the same way I would with chocolate powder. Total experiment, no idea if it would work – but it certainly did! Carol decided to take a bag of Chocolate Drops away with her as a result!
I really like it when I go into a shop and see a slightly different, quality focused way of making or serving a drink (or sandwich etc…) and making hot chocolate and mochas with real chocolate certainly is something special.
So, to I’d love to share it with you all as there really isn’t anything difficult or revolutionary about this – it’s just delicious, and definitely a winter and Christmas type of drink!
For a 7oz cup:
Put 23-25g Limini Chocolate Drops into the bottom of a pre-heated cup, use a very small amount of hot water from the hot water tap or a boiler to mix into a paste with a small whisk or fork. Swirl the cup around to get rid of any bubbles. Steam some whole milk to a latte type consistency (10-20 % extra volume) and pour on top of the chocolate. If you are lucky you may even get a little latte art…..
